Over the course of just under 50 hours of migration time, Zaxyn Media was able to help one of the largest 4x4/overlanding websites on the net move to the latest version of Joomla.
In total, we migrated over 2,500 articles to the new platform with very few manual interactions required. This involved ensuring over 3,900 search engine friendly (SEF) URLs were properly redirected to the new format to maintain valuable search engine ranking. Along with migrating nearly 100 users that post content on a daily basis, we were able to add key improvements to the site.

We were able to manage all this with just under 50 hours of consulting time, which is pretty amazing considering the amount of content, server configuration for 2 development servers + a live server, and the requirement for < 1hr of downtime on the vBulletin forum system.
In the end, the migration took a scant 3.6 hours of downtime and the system is now 100% operational. This is one of the most exciting launches we've had the pleasure of taking part in!
