Do you need an event guide, map book, or other custom publication for your outdoor or adventure event? We've been doing great guides for eight years and are happy to help!
At the very first FJ Cruiser Summit in 2007, Zaxyn Media produced our first 'map book' as a custom publication. From that simple document, we've grown to publish seven additional event guides for the Summit, improving upon those original maps in virtually very way.
The 2014 FJ Summit #8 Event Guide (Get it from TCT Magazine!) was our best yet, but we also added two new custom publications to the event this year.
First, we created the very first FJ Summit Passport. This 4.5" square document includes the logo & a short description for each vendor at the event, along with a small square for a stamp. The idea is to increase traffice to all vendor booths during the three vendor nights of the Summit, giving people a reason to see the great things each booth has to offer. Once all the squares in the passport were stamped, Sumiteers dropped the book off in the TCT Magazine booth for a chance to win an iPad Mini.
The passport was a huge success, and indeed helped double the traffic in most booths. It served as a great way for vendors to get the most out of their sponsorship.
Months of building, formatting, and testing our iPad app have finally yielded an iPad exclusive app, now available on the App Store.
We've successfully migrated WabFab.org from the legacy Joomla 1.5 platform to a Joomla 3.2 / 3DCart online store. Total time for this migration was around 50 hours.
I’ve been a map geek as long as I can remember. When I was a young lad roatripping across Michigan with my family, I was always in charge of making sure we knew where we were going. From those simple maps 30 years ago to the fully interactive maps and custom GPS solutions I get to work on for clients today, maps have always been a central factor in most of my hobbies.Last year I decided I wanted to learn how to make real maps that would be useful to others. After much research and thought I realized that people planning trips out west for off road adventure may enjoy having a simple map of certain areas to help them plan their routes. RoutePlanner maps were born.I created the first RoutePlanner map for the 2013 FJ Summit in Ouray, Colorado. It covers most of the trails in the Telluride, Silverton, Lake City, and Ouray areas, and all the trails are featured in the FunTeks book “Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4WD Trails”. This map is feature rich, double sided, and is printed on heavy waterproof paper. It’s also available as a GPS enabled PDF map through the Avenza PDF Map Store for both iOS and Android devices.See this map & learn about others we’re working on over at Way2Tread.
By combining the magazines and expanding to cover all Toyota & Lexus vehicles (4WD vehicles), we'll be able to provide coverage in a more efficient and much more exciting way!
